Babes Ride Out – A Motorcycle Story

“Babes Ride Out is an annual all female overnight motorcycle adventure and campout.”, according to their website.

I found out about this group through the video posted below. Their story is detailed in the video’s description.

Babes Ride Out founders Ashmore Ellis and Anya Violet wanted to create an environment where women can come together to share their cross country journeys, triumphs, close calls and disasters on the bike. GoPro Production Artists Tina Marchman and Annemarie Hennes joined these five hundred ladies in Joshua Tree for this women’s only event. See what happens when they hit the open road.

Watching this video reminds me of the strong sense of community I’ve experienced on my travels over the last two years. I’ve met many new friends and have been included on many evenings to eat and drink with other bikers I’ve just met.

The joy gained from experiencing community in this way is so good for the soul.

The women in this video express that joy and act to share and maximize that enjoyment. Watching the video made me happy I’ve been on the road so much this year and excited for future travels.

I hope you enjoy it.

I’m happy to report that Diamond Schiffers’ medical fund has exceeded their goal of $10,000 and that she is recovering from her accident.
