As mentioned in the Gear section of the blog, I purchased BMW’s TourShell jacket and pants soon after buying the motorcycle. The TourShell is a Cordura textile (not mesh) with GoreTex lining. New Michelin Pilot Road 4 tires were installed on the bike today, replacing the prior Pilot Road 4 set after more than 13,000 miles. I use the GT version of the tire in the rear and the standard PR4 in the front. I love these tire’s longevity and excellent wet road performance.
