Trials Season Begins

The first trial of the season took place last Saturday. The club had over sixty riders participate in eight classes.

This was the first trial I’ve ridden in a while. Besides the early February training class and a practice session at a friend’s property a week ahead of the school, I’ve not ridden in months. It showed in the results, with me coming in last in the amateur class. There’s nowhere to go but up from here 🙂

In that vein, my body is feeling much better than last year after changing up my weekly workouts. I’m working to open up my hips and strengthen the muscles supporting good posture on the bike. Feeling better means I will get more practice time in, leading to improved scores. Just yesterday, I practiced for a few hours with a few other club members on some property with dozens of different obstacles.

Fun stuff !!
