Readers may recall that I switched to an AT&T prepaid plan because it better meets my travel needs and saved me $750 a year – a 60% drop from my old AT&T post-paid plan!
This plan gives me 8GB data at high speeds and unlimited text/talk throughout Mexico, Canada and the U.S., an amount double my average use. My unused data rolls over for 30 days more. I’ve never run out.
I can now use the phone as a hotspot to update the blog if wi-fi is not available but a cell signal is present. This is useful when camping and at lodging with inadequate service.
I use this plan all the time but wanted to explicitly say it worked well in Canada this spring on my trip to Desolation Sound. I have every expectation that it will work well for this trip, too!
