At least monthly, I take the bike to Fall City for breakfast. It is about 25 freeway-miles away from home. The distance ridden provides an opportunity to recharge the battery and the food is always good.
So yesterday morning, I braved the mist and light rain and headed east on Interstate 90 to exit 22, the exit for Preston. The Raging River Cafe is just a few miles away. I was surprised to see so many open parking spots, as the place is usually packed on the weekends.
As you can see from the photo, the cafe was closed. There was a sign on the door, stating the closure was due to a kitchen fire.
I was saddened by the news and hoped that nobody was hurt.
There is a coffee shop back in Preston that I like, so I rode back there for what is likely my last eggnog latte of the season.
I look forward to my next trip to The Raging River Cafe. I will call first to make sure they’ve re-opened.
Best wishes for 2018 to everyone @ TRR Cafe.
I am always amazed that you don’t let the weather keep you from getting out! What are big travel plans for 2018?
