A week from today (Tuesday) is the tentative departure date for my trip to Hyder, Alaska. Here is a map of the 8-day, 2,000 mile route.

With my regular riding buddy Will coming along, we will travel north along Hwy 1 to Cache Creek, Hwy 97 to Prince George, Hwy 16 to Kitwanga, and Hwy 37 to Stewart, which we will use as our ‘base camp’ to visit Hyder, Alaska.
The trip to Stewart will take three days, and we’ll spend two nights there to give us time to visit Hyder and return over the border.
Our return trip takes us first to Prince Rupert, then on a 16-hour ferry ride that takes the Inside Passage to Port Hardy, on Vancouver Island.
The following day we will travel south along the length of the Island to Victoria. The next day we will catch a ferry back to Port Angeles and home.
