La Posada Hotel
I stayed overnight at La Posada on Day 31 of my Western States Tour. It was a notable and favorite hotel experience. I stayed upstairs in the Gary Cooper room. I had a fabulous drink or two in the bar before and after I completed the self guided tour of the hotel grounds. The restaurant was a highlight of my adventure.
Dinner at the hotel was most excellent. I had stuffed squash blossoms as an appetizer. Then I ordered black bean and cream corn soup with an entree of fried quail, elk medallion, and a wild boar / bison / elk tamale. I had a chocolate souffle for dessert.
