Midual’s remarkable $185,000 Type 1 takes its place among the world’s most expensive motorcycles
I ride a BMW R1200RT, a motorcycle with a transverse mounted horizontally opposed twin engine. I like twins and I like the opposed twin configuration. When I saw this motorcycle described in a Wired magazine article, I was immediately drawn to it.
Limited to a production run of just 35, this elite French super bike’s design uses an opposed twin mounted longitudinally in the frame at a 25 degree angle. Beyond the patented engine placement, the bike features a single piece cast aluminum chassis that doubles as the fuel tank. The engineering is brilliant and attention to detail stunning.
