Back to May 5, 2014 – Day 1 of my first multi-week tour ever!

I traveled just 1,209 miles the first week but had a great time meandering along the coast of Washington, Oregon, and Northern California. The Pacific Coast Highway, part of which I bicycled while in college, was amazing (again).

The 2014 Western States Tour took me through 16 states in all, over 49 days and 8,555 miles! I was very pleased to conclude it so successfully. Few things I’ve done in life were as enjoyable an adventure.
